Easter card

Card: confetti white, wisteria wonder, calypso coral, soft suede, whisper white
Ink: wisteria wonder, calypso coral, soft suede
Stamp set(s): fresh vintage, well scripted
Accessories: calypso coral designer brad, wisteria wonder ruffled ribbon, linen thread

As part of the market I want to attend in a few weeks, I'm making up some Easter cards. This is one I have cased from Delys Cram - again! I love the design, and thought the new in-colours worked will with this design. I love the speckled confetti white, and of course, the ruffled ribbon and brad. Beautiful!

OSW project

Card: old olive, elegant eggplant, melon mambo, whisper white, basic grey
Ink: old olive, elegant eggplant, melon mambo
Stamp set(s): delicate doilies, curly cute
Accessories: beautiful wings embosslit, big shot, scallop trim border punch

Rachel Knight took us through how she does a One Sheet Wonder (OSW) at Stamp Camp. This is a technique that I am so going to use again! It's where you stamp up one sheet of A4 cardstock (I used whisper white here) and cut it down so you can make 6 cards from it. Very cool. I love these colours together, and it's one way to use up scraps, but also to make a number of different cards at once.

Card: crumb cake, whisper white, early expresso
DSP: well worn
Stamp set(s): word play, need for speed, solid strips
Ink: real red, early expresso
Accessories: real red embossing powder, heat gun, foil, cork

This was one of the projects we completed at Stamp Camp a few weekends back. Bev showed us how to create this amazing masculine easel card, with dry embossing on foil, and heat embossing. I love this card with the foil embossing, and the flags and car just make it masculine! The cork sets it off nicely, too.

French foliage birthday

Card: night of navy, old olive, whisper white
Ink: night of navy, old olive, more mustard
Stamp set(s): french foliage, curly cute
Accessories: hemp twine, library clip

A work colleague is having a birthday today, so I made the team a card for him that they all signed. I'm really please how this came out, and love the colour combo for a masculine birthday card. I've also used my new love, the french foliage stamp set. Happy Birthday, Michael - hope you have a fab day!

Happy Birthday to my twin sister!

Card: rich razzleberry, early expresso, very vanilla
DSP: rich razzleberry patterned dsp
Ink: rich razzleberry, early expresso, old olive
Stamp set(s): bliss, so happy for you, because I care, french foliage
Accessories: silver brads, rich razzleberry satin ribbon

I've created this card before, CASED from Teneale Williams, but I love it so much that I've made another one for my sister for her special birthday. It's slightly different, but I just love the layers and the vintage look, and the colours are perfect for my sister. I've done a panel inside, but I forgot to take a pick before I wrote in it... It's just as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside!

Happy Birthday, Ruth!! So glad we share the same birthday, and get along like twins usually do! Love you lots!

A wee card to say hello

Card: tempting turquoise, real red, whisper white
Ink: tempting turquoise, real red
Stamp set(s): just believe, elementary elegance
Accessories: beautiful wings embosslit, big shot, pearl, brayer

This project was going to be my swap for Stamp Camp a few weeks ago, but I decided to do something different. It's a 3" card, which is my new favourite size. I have brayered the real red on whisper white, stamped the images, and added the butterflies with a pearl. It's a simple card, but I love the detail and brayering! The pearl gives it a little bit of elegance!

Wisteria wonder meets soft suede

Card: soft suede, very vanilla, wisteria wonder
Ink: soft suede
Stamp set(s): creative elements, so happy for you
Accessories: decorative label punch, pearls

I haven't posted for a few days and I've been having withdrawals, lol! I found this project on Claire Daley's blog, and loved it, so I decided to CASE it for today. Love how the wisteria wonder "comes into its own" with soft suede and very vanilla. I only used soft suede ink here, to create a vintage look, but I also love the distressing and worn feel of this project. I just had to break out my new stamp set!

Easter card

Card: rich razzleberry, wisteria wonder, whisper white
Ink: rich razzleberry, wisteria wonder
Stamp set(s): delicate doilies, well scripted
Accessories: perfect polka dots embossing folder, wisteria wonder ruffled ribbon, pearls, sponge

I wanted a few more Easter cards to add to my collection for the market I'm attending in a few weeks, so I came up with this wee number. I've used some bright-ish, spring colours to sponge some faux-torn artwork on my project, and I've added some texture with the perfect polka dot embossing folder and the ruffled ribbon, but the pearls add that little bit of bling and 'wow'. What do you think?!

Fun with my blender pen

Card: island indigo, whisper white

DSP: pool party patterns dsp

Ink: island indigo, pool party

Stamp set: every moment

Accessories: top note die cut, big shot, whisper white organza ribbon, blender pen

I attended another techniques class over the weekend, run by Paula. She showed us how to create subtle shadow and colour in line images by using a blender pen. Really enjoyed using this technique, and I'm sure I'll keep using it in the future on my projects! We created this card as a sample project that we took away so we had something to refer to, which is a really useful idea.

Cute Easter boxes

DSP: poppy parade, concord crush, pear pizazz, blushing bride DSP
Ink: poppy parade, concord crush, pear pizazz, blushing bride
Stamp set(s): four frames, well scripted
Accessories: poppy parade, concord crush, blushing bride striped poly ribbon, silver brads, rhinestones

Yesterday, I spent some time crafting with the lovely Sharlene... She had invited me over to craft with her, and I decided to make a dent in my creations for the market I will be selling at on the 1st April. As Easter is coming up, I thought I would make this the theme for my table, so I made these very cute Easter baskets. I'll probably fill them with a creme egg, or some small caramel eggs, ready to sell for Easter. Who could resist these?!

Thank you note

Card: wisteria wonder, calypso coral, whisper white
Ink: wisteria wonder, calypso coral
Stamp set: fresh vintage
Accessories: pearls

Another very simple, but stunning little note card. I love how the border stamp creates that little bit of texture and colour, and compliments the flower stamp. And of course, I'm in love with this colour combo. I've made this for my upline, Paula, as a thank you for the fun weekend we had at Stamp camp last weekend. Thanks, Paula, for everything!

Mono card

Card: early expresso, soft suede, very vanilla
Ink: soft suede, early expresso
Stamp set: lovely as a tree
Asscessories: early expresso striped ribbon

A very quick card today... I used the colour coach to work at the best monocromatic colour scheme for early expresso. Luckily it was soft suede, which I have! I love this stamp set, so I wanted to combine the colours I love with the stamp set I love (one of them, at least!). I've stamped an inside panel (very vanilla) with early express and soft suede. I know it's technically tomorrow now (yikes!) but wanted to get this up. Whew!

Punch art madness!

I thought I would share another Stamp Camp project today. Vicki-Lee showed us how to make this oh-so-cute cute pengiun card, and very cute lion calendar (an easel card) - she is the queen of punch art! I wasn't too sure what to think of these projects at first, but they are definitely growing on me. May have to invest in some more of Stampin' Up!'s wide range of punches...! While these were fidley to put together, it's quite amazing what you can up with with a snip here and a snip there from the different punches that are available. I ended up cutting one of the pieces for the pengiun incorrectly, so I had to improvise and it hasn't turned out quite the way I wanted it to, but it's still pretty cute :-)

If I created these projects again, I would make sure I had my sponges or daubers handy (forgot to take them to camp, doh!) to highlight the edges. This would create more depth and dimension to the punch art. I have only tried this technique once before, so I thought I did pretty well, all things considered...

JAI Challenge - 108

Card: island indigo, pool party, early expresso, whisper white

Ink: pool party, island indigo, early expresso
Stamp set(s): because I care, so happy for you
Accessories: early expresso striped ribbon, perfect polka dot embossing folder, big shot, dazzling diamonds

JAI challenge us with a colour challenge this week, which I loved, and couldn't wait to enter! Here is my take on this week's challenge. I didn't want too much early expresso, so I kept it to a minimum - the small mat and ribbon where enough to bring out the dark colour. The dazzling diamonds really dazzle in real life - the light was bad when I took this shot. But the main thing was I enjoyed bringing this together!

Polished stone project

Card: wisteria wonder, river rock, concord crush, glossy whisper white

Ink: concord crush

Reinkers: river rock, wisteria wonder, bashful blue, crumb cake

Stamp set(s): zoo review, under the big top

Accessories: framped tulips embossing folder, big shot, decorative label punch, word window punch, cotton ball, rubbing alcohol, gold brad

At stamp camp, we learned the polish stone technique with this card, and how to resize the tulip frame embossing folder. Very cool. The lovely and very inspiring Heather taught us, and I reckon I'll be using both of these technqiues again - thanks Heather!

Stamp Camp - Rotorua!

Card: old olive, rich razzleberry, whisper white
Ink: old olive, rich razzleberry
Stamp set(s): delicate doilies, because I care
Accessories: beautiful wings embosslit, big shot, rhinestone

I've been away in Rotorua at Stamp Camp this past weekend, which is why you haven't seen me here for the last few days... Stamp Camp was fab! Amazing talent, it was lovely to put faces to names, and it was very special to spend time with my upline, Paula :-) I'll be posting pics of the camp, and the projects we completed (um, some I still need to complete -hehe!) over the next few days.

First up, I did swaps with 20 other ladies that I met at camp. I decided to do small cards with the tearing/sponging technique and with some 12x12 cardstock (to make it easier to trim up 3"x6" cards) that I had, which just happened to be my favourite colours - old olive and rich razzleberry. Love how these came out, and I received some amazing swaps in return :-) Thanks ladies!

Cuppa tea?

Card: marina mist, blushing bride, whisper white
Ink: marina mist, poppy parade, blushing bride, old olive, early expresso
Stamp sets: just believe,
DSP: letters to santa
Accessories: 1/4" white grosgrain ribbon, sponges, tea-bags

This is another market idea that I have been working on. The lovely Debi inspired this project, with a sealed tea-bag attached inside a cute wrapper - so cool! Thanks Debi for a cute, simple gift. I'm sure lots of people will see these and give them away to friends - it's the gift that keeps on giving, when you have a cuppa to go with it!

Quick SAB card

Card: confetti white, basic black, whisper white
Ink: real read, basic black,
Stamp set: fresh vintage
Accessories: 1.4" basic black grosgrain ribbon, rhinestone, 3/4" circle punch

Another quick, clean card using the fresh vintage SAB stamp set (free when you spend $120!). I have stamped the flower and border images in real read, stamped the little flower on wisper white and punched it out, with real red sponging. The rhinestone and bow create a little texture for a "everyday" card. I'm enjoying using confetti white at the moment - it give a beautiful textured and flecked look to any project. Enjoy!

To market, to market

Card: melon mambo, chocolate chip, old olive, whisper white
Ink: chocolate chip, old olive
Stamp set: delicate doilies
Accessories: beautiful wings embosslit, big shot, white bakers twine, melon mambo button (ice cream parlour), rhinestone, sponge

On the 1st April, I will be selling at Craftea, a local craft market. This is one notebook I have done up to sell at the market, but I am slowly building up my stock... I have plenty of cards now, thanks to my project of posting a project every day for a year :-)

Here, I have used the masking technique that I have used for a few different project lately. I just love the torn look without the bulk of a layer of card. I have added butterflies, one with a rhinestone, and the big one with a button and bakers twine to create the 'feelers'. Not the colour combo I would have chosen, but I have used my colour coach to help me along, and it's growing on me :-)

Try Stampin' on Tuesday - 55

Card: crumb cake, soft suede, very vanilla, confetti white
Ink: soft suede
Stamp set(s): fresh vintage, french foilage

Accessories: beautiful wings embosslit, linen thread, very vanilla velvet ribbon

Over at Try Stampin' on Tuesday, they challenged us with a sketch this week. This was my take and I love, love, love this card! Subtle textures, soft coloures to give a vintage, worn look that is also whimsy and elegant.

I have layered soft suede, confetti white, and very vanilla with some stamping on the crumb cake. I have torn the very vanilla on one corner and stamped on the confetti white underneath. I have stamped a number of french foilage stamps at the edges, with the Sale-a-bration stamp from fresh vintage as the focal point (free when you spend $120!!). I have sponged all the edges in soft suede. The inside panel has been stamped at two corners and sponged.

JAI Challenge 107 - Just Add Nikki Spencer

Card: poppy parade, pool party, wisteria wonder, whisper white
Ink: poppy parade, pool party, wisteria wonder, lucky limeade
Stamp set(s): fresh vintage, so happy for you
Accessories: paper vellum, silver brads, rhinestones, beautiful embosslit, big shot, sponge, circle punch

This week's challenge over at JAI was Just Add Nikki Spencer! I chose a recent project Nikki has blogged here and CASEd it for this challenge. Very fun! I've used a circle punch and punched a post-it note to mask off the circle in the middle, then stamped and sponged it to bring out the circle a little more. I have added a sentiment on paper vellum and attached it with two brads. I'm pretty happy with the results! Oh, and I have again used one of the SAB (Sale-a-bration) stamp sets - free with an order of $120!

Torn birthday

Card: poppy parade, calypso coral
Ink: poppy parade, calypso coral
Stamp set (s): fresh vintage, well scripted

Accessories: calypso coral ruffled ribbon

Another quick and easy project today... Similar to this one. Loving the colour combo and the new Sale-a-bration stamp set - Fresh vintage (yours for free when you spend $120!). I created my artwork by tearing up printing paper, masking off the top and bottom of the panel. I sponged calypso coral, then stamped with both calypso coral and poppy parade. I added a sentiment and bow. The inside panel was stamped on two opposite corners in calypso coral and poppy parade. Love how this has come up!

Leaving gift

Card: riding hood red, cherry cobbler, whisper white
Ink: cherry cobbler
Stamp set(s): just believe, so many thanks
Accessories: riding hood red taffata ribbon, rhinstones, scallop circle punch

My sister wanted a little gift to give a work-make who was leaving today. So, this easal card was in her card tin I give her at christmas, and I co-ordinated the stamped candle and wrapped it up all nice for her. That's what I love about the Stampin Up! products - they are masters at co-ordinating everything and it makes creating these sorts of gifts a breeze!

Simple fresh vintage

Card: whisper white
Ink: cherry cobbler, early expresso
Stamp set(s): fresh vintage, well scripted

Accessories: cherry cobbler scallop ribbon

Happy first of March!! I needed a very quick and simple project to post today... And this one I found online met my needs! Love the simplicity, the colours and the design. I meant to use dimensionals on the main panel, but I had already put on tape before I realised...doh! I may do another one for my stash, and I'll be using dimensionals to give the project a little more dimension and texture.

I have used one of the Sale-a-Bration stamp sets (yours if you spend $120, not including shipping before the end of March!), and the gorgeous scallop ribbon. The card was crying out for some colour inside, so I decided to stamp the flower in one corner. Beautiful!
